Project: St Magdalene Church

Not, we hasten to add, a Ritsu building but a building which certainly demonstrates the ability of timber to survive over time.

Dating from 1644, the Church of St Magdalene in Ruhnu, is known to be the oldest surviving log building in Estonia - 377 years old, and counting!

Longevity.

  Ritsu  I  Estonia

Estonia, a country in Northern Europe, borders the Baltic Sea and Gulf of Finland. Including more than 1,500 islands, its diverse terrain spans rocky beaches, old-growth forest and many lakes. Formerly part of the Soviet Union, it's dotted with castles, churches and hilltop fortresses.

The capital, Tallinn, is known for its preserved Old Town, museums, is a city reinventing itself - cherishing the old whilst taking leaps forward to embrace the new.

Ritsu have and continue to reinvent the log home and timber buildings and do so in the home of the log cabin.
